How to check the led turn signal is 1156 or 1157?

Harley Davidson motorcycles come with one of two styles of LED turn signals, 1156 Single Contact (Single-coiled tungsten filament blinker light) and 1157 Double Contact (Double-coiled tungsten filament blinker light.
Some models may flash faster than normal.You may need to install the turn signal lights with load resistors.
- 1157 Front Rear:For motorcycle without a brake light (tail light) on the rear fender, usually the front and rear turn signals are 1157 .Your rear turn signals should function as running lights, brake lights and turn signals. These have 2 contacts at the base of the bulb.
- 1157 Front & Rear 1156:For motorcycle with a brake light (tail light) on the rear fender ,usually the front turn signals is 1157 double Contact,and the rear turn signals is 1156 single contact.You will need the Rear 1156 style signals.It has one contact that function solely as turn signals.
- 1156 Front Rear:For the Harley European version,the front and rear signals are generally 1156 .
